Gender Objet D’Art
Luna Luna is an Object Art work made by TANE and Sergio Hernandez, who was born in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1957 and is considered one of the most outstanding artists of his generation. His professional artistic training began at age 16 when he entered the San Carlos Academy; later he continued at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving La Esmeralda where he had Gilberto Aceves Navarro as his teacher. Upon graduating, he began his individual exhibitions. In 1987 he travels for the first time to Europe where he resides for a time in Paris, there he was in contact with the European avant-garde that marked him definitively in his artistic work. Since 1988 he has lived in the city of Oaxaca, where he has made incursions into a great variety of techniques and materials, playing a leading role in the region's art and culture. Sergio Hernández is the creator of dream worlds where the vegetables that inhabit them are animated and the animals resemble plants that enjoy a unique contemplation of the moon immersed in an eternal night. Silver figures that seem to dream and dreams that seem to tinkle in the memory of the living.
